The economic promotion agency of the canton of Jura can look back with satisfaction at a successful 2021. The 26 companies supported by the agency invested 44.1 million Swiss francs in the region. Over the medium term, a further 181 new jobs are to be added to the 55 created in 2021, which represents an increase on previous years. For example, in 2020 a total of 33 companies invested a sum of 9.4 million Swiss francs with 36 new jobs created, which should lead to an overall total of 107 in time.

These created 22 jobs, with a further 55 set to follow in due course. In total, 15 existing companies implemented expansion plans with the support of the economic promotion agency, leading to the creation of 18 new jobs, with a further 81 to follow eventually. At 36.0 million Swiss francs, they accounted for the largest share of investments. Three companies were relocated in cooperation with the regional investment and innovation promotion agency Basel Area Business & Innovation.
