LCB Sàrl has developed i4, a communication module for machines at the service of Industry 4.0. The Jura-based company has created a partnership with the French group HLP, which specializes in the digital transformation of companies. This success is also the result of the Basel Area Business & Innovation network.
The agency for the promotion of the business location and innovation organizes the i4Challenge, a competition for start-ups and SMEs in the Industry 4.0 sector. As one of the winners in 2019, LCB Sàrl was thus able to participate in the tri-national Industry 4.0 trade fair (BE4.0) in Mulhouse. It was on this occasion that the meeting with HLP took place. “If while walking around the BE4.0 fair, I had not decided to stop at the HLP booth, none of this would have happened,” recalls David Maître of LCB.
Within the framework of the partnership with HLP, LCB has already been able to win new customers. These include a multinational group with more than 40 production sites in America, the EU and Asia. For LCB, this represents more than 1500 boxes and therefore more than 1500 machines to connect.
David Maître founded LCB Sàrl in 1997. “We have been evolving in the field of Industry 4.0 for over 20 years. Only it wasn’t called that back then,” David Maître said in an interview on the occasion of his victory at i4Challenge 2019. His company solves “industry-related technical problems where standard solutions don’t apply, or where processes need to be adjusted.” With its i4 modules, LCB Sàrl wants to propose to companies its solutions for the communication of production means.
