Thérèse Schmutz joined Basel Area Business & Innovation in 2025.

Prior, she worked as a Research Associate at the Institute of Management researching and teaching entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainability at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland. Before that, she worked as a Junior Innovation Co-Creator at InnoArchitects, guiding larger Swiss companies in the service industry through the innovation funnel.
During her studies, she co-founded VisusArtis and supported founders in mounting their initial online appearance.

Thérèse Schmutz studied M.A. HSG in Business Innovation at the University of St.Gallen and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management from the University of Lausanne.
