BaseLaunch incubates and accelerates early-stage therapeutics ventures. Since early 2018, BaseLaunch has backed nine ventures. They have collectively raised over $200 Million in financing to date.

Helping therapeutic ventures succeed

Each venture is financed with up to 500,000 CHF, and BaseLaunch provides hands on support building the companies from scratch to a point where they can raise financing and/or entering strategic collaborations. We involve our partners but also work collaboratively with others.

Along the way, we do whatever is needed to help. From building out the team with experienced biopharma professionals to working with the founders, relevant consultants and our partners to identify key milestones that derisk the science. Debating the strategy, and support in licensing IP and incorporating the company; providing warm introductions to our deep connections with investors/venture funds, globally; giving free access to fully equipped lab space, if needed; or help in finding other infrastructure in the Basel Area, if more appropriate.

Throughout the process ventures retain full entrepreneurial freedom to decide what they want to do, and how they want to do it. Our aim is to build them to succeed. We understand that every venture is different in each case and as such, so is our role.
