Digital health innovation is a tough cookie. First, when dealing with people’s health, innovators may be liable for the outcome they promise. Therefore, digital health solutions are subject to a wide range of regulatory requirements. Second, other than traditional, science based therapeutics, protecting digital health innovations through patents is more challenging. Last but not least, digital health is data driven and must accept the limitations set by data protection laws. Is this game thus already lost?
“No”, say our legal experts. Entrepreneurs and innovators need a strategy to not only navigate through the legal landscape, but to benefit from it to build their business case. At the next DayOne Experts Event, organized in collaboration with Vossius & Partner, we will hear from legal experts how this can be achieved and how innovators have dealt with this topic in the past.
