Meet the innovative projects from the i4Challenge Accelerator 2025
The eighth edition of the i4Challenge accelerator is now underway, with eight projects having been selected by our expert jury panel.
This year’s projects introduce innovative solutions across a range of areas, including modular robot-agnostic software platforms, fully automated Security Operations Centers for SMEs, radio-based 3D positioning systems, and a SaaS platform utilizing eye-tracking technology.
We’re excited to support them in unlocking their full potential.
AICA is redefining industrial automation with their AICA System: a modular, robot-agnostic software platform that lets robots learn, adapt and respond in real time.
Unlike traditional, rigid automation, AICA enables sensor-driven, flexible behaviors through a powerful toolchain and an intuitive graphical interface, AICA Studio.
Its smart business model – an annual development license and a one-time deployment key – empowers engineers and integrators to build, test and scale advanced robotic applications faster than ever.
All About Accuracy is transforming localization with a radio-based 3D positioning system that outperforms traditional vision and LiDAR solutions.
Powered by their custom UWB chip and proprietary algorithms, the system delivers real-time, sub-centimeter accuracy (as precise as 5 mm), even in dusty, cluttered or low-light environments where optical systems fail.
No visual cues. No calibration. Just seamless integration via API or embedded modules, bringing unmatched precision and reliability to modern robotics.
Auto-Mate Robotics makes automation affordable and flexible for SMEs with a modular robotic cell and a no-code, block-based interface inspired by Blockly and Scratch. Technicians without robotics experience can program and adapt robots themselves for tasks like machine tending or quality control — no external experts needed.
Näxte has developed NEXTGemini, a linked data and AI-based platform for bridge digital twins. It integrates 3D models, sensor data, GIS, inspection reports and documents into a semantic knowledge graph, accessible through a 3D viewer, graph viewer and AI chat interface. Unlike traditional BIM or DMS systems, NXTGemini provides connected, searchable information instead of isolated files.
Küffer has developed a roadmap that helps plant operators introduce predictive maintenance efficiently and profitably, protecting them from costly misinvestments.
From weak point analysis and data management to secure connectivity, smart analytics and user training, their approach combines technical precision with practical implementation. Every project is tailored to the customer’s setup, integrating standard and custom solutions, open interfaces, and ensuring full data ownership.
Goldoak gives smaller and mid-sized businesses access to a full Security Operations Center without the usual cost or complexity. The platform combines AI-driven 24/7 monitoring, real-time insights, automated mitigation and integrated workflows, delivering up to 98% automation. With actionable reports, step-by-step guidance, and optional expert support, companies gain full visibility, faster compliance and stronger protection.
Vemente acts as a master vendor that radically simplifies indirect procurement.
They handle purchases from rarely used or new suppliers through their platform, ensuring full compliance and transparency. With their highly automated, flexible and extremely fast process, they enable companies to reduce costs & risks while their agility & speed is increased.
EYE LEARN is a SaaS facilitating the use of eye-tracking and AI for saving and sharing expert knowledge, allowing practice analysis to improve procedure execution, and automating the process of validation for quality assurance. You record a POV video with the glasses, upload it to a Swiss cloud, and either rewatch it to analyzee your performance, process it for automated validation with AI, or store it for future viewing by a new employee.
”I continue to be amazed by the outstanding quality of submissions for this year’s i4Challenge, making the selection process a tough decision for our expert jury. I’m excited to collaborate with these ventures and follow their growth over the next few years.
